Change Menu/MyFiles without restart the Phone
« on: November 14, 2010, 02:51:21 AM »
Ok, lets's start.

Menu:

1. First replace Your current 'Menu.swf' (Example STARHERO Menu or Any Other Menu) with the new 'Menu.swf' you want(Example Motoblur Menu)

2. Then go to Settings/Phone Settings/Language and Change your language (from english to Example german)

3. Then go back and you have a new Menu.

MyFiles

1. For the MyFiles you must replace the Myfiles.swf You want with the Myfiles.swf you already have (Example STARHERO MyFiles to Original MyFiles).

2. Delete STARHERO MyFiles go back to General MyFiles (Pic,Vid,Sou,Oth,Res,Memory...)

3. do not go back to the menu or you will have a white Screen when you re-enter the Myfiles , so put the Original Myfiles in the res folder go back to the menu and enter the Myfiles (Files Icon)

For the gadget I have no Idea

When you have a Patch activate EXAMPLE change swf it must be in folder media/res
change swf v.2 mmc/res
the others have the name
mmc/res/1
mmc/res/2
mmc/res/3
mmc/res/4
mmc/res/5

Amazing...Just downright amazing...

1. I edited Your Tutorial and made the post a little More Organised as the english was a little un-clear

2. Amazing Find about changing The Menu!! 1 of the best finds!

3. The MyFiles Changing technique is Not really a tut... Changing Myfiles dosent really require A reboot... Just Replace Your Myfiles through Mass Storage Mode and your myfiles will instantly be changed

I tried it for menu.swf though...
First copied the desired menu.swf in RES folder and simultaneously deleting the existing one.

After that changed screen text language from english to any whatever else option.

Next, went back to menu but it does not changed.
