Customize Color scheme tutorial
« on: September 04, 2010, 07:36:55 PM »
okay first what is ? Color scheme
- are the colors that seen in the submenu (messages, settings)

can we really customize it?
yes that is why im posting this tut

after changing color what will i do to port it in my phone?
you have to paste you edited color.bin into res folder its either phone/res or MMC/res
then patch your phone using rc2 that contains colorTbl patch

here is a tutorial how to patch your rc2 with colorTbl
http://darkforestgroup.com/starmod/index.php?topic=150.0;topicseen

okay lets start changing color

first download this

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZYK9W8XI
this program is mdde by [AlaSToR] (i think) thanks man!!

then download this
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BINO4OZF
that include color.bin and colorTbl.smp (ignore other file if you do not know about making patch in Qub)

okay lets really start changing color this time

rename color.bin to color.tab
open colortab_edotv2.0

click the dropdown to see color locations

click the ????? i have circle with black to change color
then click ???? i circled with blue to save selected color

i you have done changing color click save

after saving rename again color.tab to color.bin then paste it in your res folder

as for now i did not know the the ID for each color just try it your self then post here the ID's so that others will make their decent color

sorry my english really suckkkssss

thanks to XZY and [AlaSToR]
now i believe the the saying "best human race live in russia :)"

for colours cant you just copy the codes from a paint program? like Photoshop, Windows Paint etc

[CAMERA] HTC 8MP Camera (sharpness -2)
[ROM] LeeDROID v1.2
[KERNEL] Buzz OCUV v1.1.4

Nokia 3125 > Nokia 6230 > Nokia 5310 > Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite > HTC Desire HD

I don't think that paint outputs hex. paint.net does.

use a rgb to hex converter and add FF to the front of the result you get

Right Click -> Rename only works if the pc dont identify it.
i used this method

1. Make Folder on C:\  called color and paste Color.bin - You should now have C:\Color\Color.Bin

2. Now Press Start >> "Run.."

3. Type "CMD" Press Enter

4. Type  "Cd.."  and press Enter untill you end up by "C:\>"

5. Now Type "CD Color" and Press Enter. You Should now be at "C:\Color>"

6. Finally Type "Rename Color.Bin Colour.tab"

To Rename Follow Steps and Replace  "Rename Color.Bin Colour.tab"  with  "Rename Color.tab Color.bin"

In green frame in pic

"The program is designed for editing colors
for patch 'Samsung E200 Themes', 'Samsung Mobile Themes'
or 'ThemeEngine Artmaggeddon'
(G600,. Etc)." - Google translate ...

Sorry , if that , but will it work in s5230 ?
