BOOTFILES - Self explanitary, bootloader, samsungs custom kernel and code for download mode, stuff to make the phone boot.
apps_compressed.bin - not sure exactly what it contains because all additional apps are in FactoryFS File.
CSC - Havent got a clue :P
FactoryFS - Contains swf files, settings, APN's, preloaded java games, more I cant remember.
Rc1 file - Default gadget.swf and emoticon icons and other swf's and icons
RC2 file - first main firmware file that the bootloader loads (after the rest of the firmware files) - this is the main file RusEm hacked to give access to the patch menu.
ShpApp.app - havent a clue, its not there in star so probably corby 2's OS specific

The above is referrenced from what I know about the star's firmware files so could be different in the corby 2

you need to find the menu.swf file for Corby (the original one) by using a patched TK File Explorer.

also if you find a gadget.swf it will help with fscommands like keypad, calendar etc

flash ActionScript syntax is possibly the easiest syntax to learn because its straightforward and easy to understand and learn unlikeother languages (C++ I'm looking at you!)

easiest way to learn is to decompile simple mods - not demonic hawk based ones like starhero and samsense but ones like inevia etc and look at the code and try experimenting by swapping values, changing things etc
