Topic: HOW TO: increasing sound of speaker (for calls and mp3)

First thing to always remember, is: THIS IS A POWER USER GUIDE. Me, or DF2, DF3, or Darkforest itself, are not responsible for any damage to you, or your phone.
This method was tested and succesfull on M8800XXIC1 firmware version.

Ok once said this, let's start:

-Put the code *#6984125*#.
-Select Internals and put the code *#9072641*#.
-Select Test Mode (3).
-Select Audio pressing 8.

Now two different things 1.- EAR config and/or 2.-Mp3 config.

1.-EAR Config.
-Select Ear Config pressing 2.
-Select Call config pressing 3.
-Select EAR Rx Call Vol pressing 1.
Now you'll see from 0 to 6 the levels of the volume.
-Press 6, and on top you will see that it has changed from READ to WRITE,
-Now press below the numbers the space where you can write and when the keyboard appears, you can put the db you want, maximum 12,3 db; always remember that you need to multiply by 10 the dbs you want, i.e 10 db we'll put 100. In my case i have put 100, and press OK.
-When put you'll see it has changed.
-Press back twice (until you see "load params" "dump params")
-Select dump params pressing 2 and when it says "dumping complete", it will be saved. Go out from the menu.
Now when you put the volume to maximum(EAR) it will have 10 db instead of 5 db.

2.-Mp3 Config.
-Select SPK Config pressing 3.
-Select AV-Qtune (MP3) pressing 4.
-Select SPK MP3 Vol pressing 1.
Now you'll see from 0 to 6 the levels of the volume.
-Press 6, and on top you will see that it has changed from READ to WRITE,
-Now press below the numbers the space where you can write and when the keyboard appears, you can put the db you want, maximum 12,3 db; always remember that you need to multiply by 10 the dbs you want, i.e 10 db we'll put 100. In my case i have put 100, and press OK.

But for me the sound for mp3 or earphone is loud enough, and i don't want to damage my speaker.
I would be more interested in a way to increase sound of loudspeaker during conversation, which is far lower than the one for mp3 and don't know why...

I will post soon a method to do it in the firmware(you can modify the loudspeaker).

Remember: always write down the original value of a parameter you are going to change 

1) To increase the speakerphone level while on call:
With this change you can now really use the speaker phone function which is
far too soft for my taste

(My firmware is M8800DXHK5 from Thailand)

SPK config
Call config
Speaker Rx call Vol
For number 4 i had 3 db, i change to 150
For number 5 i had 3 db, i change to 200
For number 6 i had 3 db, i change to 320
(you must multiply by 10 the number you want: enter 1500 if you want 150)
Press back 2 times and choose dump params to record your changes

Now speaker phone very loud when calling !

2) To increase ringtones level
Same as before but choose:
SPK config
AV-QTune (Mp3)
SPK MP3 Vol
For number 5 i had -3 db, i change to 0
For number 6 i had -3 db, i change to 0,5
Press back 2 times and choose dump params to record your changes

Now ringtones very loud !

3) To increase sound of earspeaker (different from speakerphone) when calling
Same before but choose:
EAR config
Call Config
Ear Rx call Vol
For number 4 i had 8 db, i change to 40
For number 5 i had 8 db, i change to 50
For number 6 i had 8 db, i change to 60
Press back 2 times and choose dump params to record your changes

Now earspeaker very loud when calling !

Worked like a treat. i changed my 5 to 45 and my 6 to 50. im using M880BXXIB3.

hmm i've changed my mp3 volume but it's still the same.
but mij ringtone volume is amazing loudt

If you modify the Mp3 Config, only the mp3 ringtones will get louder. For now I don't know how to make MP3 player louder...There should be some value to change somewhere, but where  ?

Works on mine S8000 Jet , just service menu looks a bit different
- after test mode select 5 Audio
- next select 2 AP volume config
 now U can see four different things

1 RCV config
2 EAR config
3 SPK config
4 BTH config

Inside every of that categories U will see

1 MP volume
2 Keytone vol
3 Ringtone vol
4 Rec volume
5 FM radio vol
6 Camera vol
7 Voice call vol
8 Vt call vol
9 Voice memo vol

Changing level of volume works the same way apart U dont need 2 multiplay and no necessary save changes (dump params) just press ok and quit service menu

One   idea flash again 2 XWIF6 , i found that firmware as good as G2 or mayby better one

That what was exactly happen to me . I just turned my phone off and than turned it on. It was the cure
