Please help, i m unable to update firmware

Hello to all

I am new in this forum. If I posted my question in wrong section , please ignore my mistake.

I have Samsung Galaxy mini mobile (GT-S-5570EGAPAK). It has PDA number is S5570JPKA3.  According to my knowledge JP code is for some Arabic country and for asia is JV or DX code etc. As my phone has JP code, that's why when I connect it to the Kies software, It reject the update process and the message showed "This version of firmware can not be updated".

Please help me what should I do?

Please tell me if I am wrong and more important, please guide me how to update my phone firm ware from KA3 to KA6 to something else? I am asking you this because in near future , Samsung will launch Gingerbread for Galaxy series of phones and I wanna run Gingerbread on my mobile.

Well Kies is s**t! Sorry for using this kind of language. Gingerbread will come but you can update your firmware with Odin like in the tutorial posted on forum. When Gingerbread will be finally released I'll publish the updates in the Firmware section and you'll be able to update with Odin which is better than Kies. Have a good day. No, your IMEI number remains the same. You cannot modify or delete your IMEI number. BTW it's my pleasure to help anybody who needs assistance

please tell me, can we get the firmware directly from samsung and then by using odin we transfer it to mobile.
You said I can get firm ware from this site, in firm ware section. Are these firmware are reliable and without any bugs? Whats you opinion about www.samfirmware.com, just write the site address for reference only.

Well firmware from this forum are the best and are tested by me on my phone. SamFirmware leaks original Samsung Firmware so what you find here and what you find on samfirmware.com are original firmwares and they're tested. Upgrading your firmware with Odin it's safe if you don't have any power failure

root your phone after upgrading firmware because firmware update deletes your entire phone memory. Live wallpapers will be added soon.   The updating progress takes 5 minutes and 14 seconds

Is it necessary to root the phone after upgrading the firmware??????? what will happened if I not root the phone after firmware upgrade???

If you don't root your phone you'll be a regular user of the phone. By rooting your phone you become Superuser (Administrator). You only ROOT your phone if you plan on hacking your phone.

Dear friend please solve my problem. Galaxy mini 5570 has a fixed focus camera, so If I want to use a software for example " Barcode Scanner" the phone is unable to read the barcode, because due to its fixed focus camera the phone cannot focus object near than 50 centimeters. Please help me what should I do? or advice me some other software which can read barcodes by using this phone. Can we change this phone fixed focus camera to auto focus camera by tempering the phone firmware ?

There is one application named ShopSavvy. It is available for free on Android Market. My advice is to download it as it is better than any other bar code scanner. Hope that works!
