S8000 Touchscreen Calibration
« on: April 09, 2011, 04:42:22 PM »
Hi all!

My samsung jet doesnt listen my commends anymore. The Touchscreen is not Calibrated and cant acces the meniu or the stuffs that i want. The biggest problem is that the phone connection is setup on mass storage and cant get into the phone with the help of NPS or Kies. My question for you guys is : Is any method to master reset my phone using only the buttons? (cuz the touchscreen doesnt work) or there is a reset button on the phone? Im open to any solution cuz the phone is useless anyway in this moment.
I hoppe i get some got solution

Maybe you should flash your phone with the same or a newer firmware - you can go through the upgrade process without the touchscreen.

Here's a possible hard reset without touching the screen (I won't test it myself):
1. Turn OFF the phone;
 2. Press VolumeUp and Lock buttons (do not release);
 3. Press Call/Green and then HangUp/Red (do not release all buttons);
 4. Phone should Vibrate and turn on;
 5. Count to 3 and release all buttons;
 You will have a choice to FORMAT or CANCEL the operation.

But if the hardware of your phone's touchscreen is good, a FW upgrade will surely reinitialize the calibration variables of the touchscreen.

I tried that method with volume up before but it doesn't work. If I want to flash my phone doesnt have to be setup on pc mode from the menu?

If you can connect your phone to your PC, then you can upgrade your phone's FW - I could be wrong, but I assume it doesn't matter if your phone is set to mass storage mode instead of Ask on connection / Samsung PC studio / (Media player? I'm not sure about this.).

At least it worths a try. Download a sympathetic FW from our FW section (you shouldn't go wrong with the S800MCEJJ3 as it's the latest and most stable), download the latest MultiLoader (5.62, or maybe even 5.64 - I've uploaded both, buth I haven't tried the latter), read thoroughly the upgrade guide, and have a nice upgrade!  ;)

Ok I noticed where the problem is.
The problem is the touchscreen. It gets warm from normal room temperature like 20 22 degrees. I put it in the freezer for 5 min and the touch screen was full functionable. As i scroll around the touchscreen it gets warm again from the friction of the finger and stop responding the commands .
Any of you has a solution for that? or is good to be recycled  :lol:
