It was tested by Astrotrain himself (the FW doesn't have Easy-Java, and is old as Hell, but it works), and it seems to be what we wanted (it was requested by many). After downloading and checking it, I've put the link in our FW section.

I'll upload it to MultiUpload when it'll be available again.

Hi, I live in Brazil and I want to get rid of Claro FW in my jet. According to S8000 jet flash guide, first step says "Install Kies on your computer and make sure it will communicate with your phone." and that's the problem: kies reports "device not supported by Kies 2.0". Is that really necessary ? My windows vista installed the drivers and recognizes my phone. Can I proceed flash anyway? If yes, which is the best firmware for me? S8000BVJIG3 or S800MCEJJ3 ?

as long as the multiloader program recognises your phone you should be fine,  Kies isn't really 100% compatible with jet, not sure why that step is there... might remove it thanks!
out of the 2 firmwares you've listed CEJJ3 is the newest and most stable, but only compatible with 900/2100 networks... is that ok in Brazil???
check in the network settings screen which band is ticked as i thought Brazil used the 850 network.

Hi Goofy, and welcome to The Darkforest Group!

The latest firmware is S800MCEJJ3,  it is very reliable and stable,  and also contains Portugese language support.
You can find the firmware HERE, along with our detailed guide on how to flash, and also the software required.

The network appliance is used by 850/2100 on 3G.
The device model is the GT-S8000B.

Flash did not the unit yet, so would like some help and if possible some links to have a more comprehensive explanation.

Bad luck, JP, as you would lose the 3G band with any of the other FWs than your current one!
The S800MCEJJ3 is faster and more reliable, but it uses a different 3G band than Brazil's.

In a few words: if you don't want to lose the 3G capabilities of your phone, don't flash it!

Greek firmware would have 'MA' in the prefix,  eg S8000MA.....    unfortunately we do not have a listing on our firmware page,
