Hi all.

I used the code

"*#2665# Touch firmware update. Displays F/W Updating DO NOT POWER OFF."

And now my touchscreen has become awkward. Sometimes when texting or dialling numbers, i press "5" and it detects "6", and this happens all over the touchscreen.

I need to frequently access *#877# and recalibrate the touchscreen, which solves the problem temporarily. After a while, the problem returns!

I already set my monte to factory defaults, i tried everything but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I can't flash it because my Network Lock is on, and i'm afraid to ruin it while trying to unlock it. My firmware is S5620BUJF2, and i'm network locked to Vodafone Portugal.

Thanks for your help and attention!

Use the code given in the list to delete calibration and recalibrate. Then I think it would do the trick..

Thanks for the quick reply.

I've already tried *#877225# which resets the calibration, unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem.

I frequently use *#877# to recalibrate by tapping the corners, and that works, but only for a while.
After a while (its random, actually, could be minutes/hours) it gets decalibrated again, and i have to do it all over again!

Its really odd, and i don't find any information on the net regarding this issue :(

I've tried reseting to factory defaults via user interface (Reset Settings), with no success.

I just had another attempt, by trying the following code:

*#197328640# Service menu -> Debug Screen -> Phone Control -> Runtime Simul -> Soft reset

The cellphone instantly rebooted.

All the settings remained untouched, all configurations, ringtones, wallpapers, menu icons layout are as they were.

The touchscreen seems to be functioning properly now! I'll have to give it some time to test it thoroughly.

Thanks again for the quick reply, i hope this solves the issue!

If the problem persists then try a hard reset with the code *2767*3855#...

So far so good, it 'feels right' again, and i haven't noticed any decalibration on the touchscreen.

Lets hope it lasts this way, heh

Hi!

Yes, i've been thoroughly testing my phone, and since i've done that last procedure the touchscreen issues are gone!

Seems like the only way to solve the decalibration problem i described, at least so far!

You had the same simptoms ?

Well, the procedure didn't solve the problem. It just fixes it temporarily, so i think the only way to repair it is to change firmware.

I change the firmware 5 times and not solve the problem... I sent it to repair center  under warranty

But what happened to your Monte? What were the symptoms? When did it start happening?

I select Update firmware like you, and later the touch screen doesn't work fine, when the mobile stay at standby the mobile later work fine again about 2 minutes and later broken again.
