Delete the firmware from your computer, download a new copy and flash again. You may try only flashing the files, no check boxes and no boot files. Just files.

uhm, u mean something like this?
btw i'm downloading again the firmware, but download proceeds in fits and starts, does not inspire confidence
i'm using this link http://www.4shared.com/file/220227189/a22e1da2/S800MXEJA1.html and its mirror, but is essentially the same thing

update: i did the "light flash" (with re-downloaded firmware) without rewrite the boot part, but the problem is still here, btw there is a news, is only a wi-fi problem, java work normally. after i downloaded the same java file as test (in this case opera mini 5.1) after the download was completed and stucked with "Activating..." i turned off the wi-fi router, and the download got unlocked, giving me the possibility to launch the installed application...
now i'm going to try a different firmware, then maybe i can try to re-flash this again (all these flash are fine for my phone?)
any suggestion? can someone plx re-post on a new link the S8000XEJA1 Firmware?

Thanks in advance like ever

update: changed firmware now running a S800MPOJB1 (that is a little faster than XEJA1), but the problem still persist, or i'm really unlucky with downloads, or my wi-fi module is broken, or my router is broken, trying to check the last one, but is unlikely

That is very odd, you may want to try and hard reset your router and clear it completely. Would be worth a shot. Then hard reset the phone and try to install the java file again.

This does now sound like a defective wifi bridge. I would take it in for repair as this should be covered under warranty.

As long as the firmware is open market un modded firmware you should be fine.
