Flashing with USB data cable
« on: June 18, 2010, 11:13:51 AM »
Hi Darkforest, I have downloaded S3310XEIL2 firmware. I want to flash my phone with this firmware. I have downloaded the downloader. I have USB data cable. Can I flash my phone? If yes, can you tell me the exact procedure? Thanks a lot.

On this model, you must use the BroadComm downloader posted on the firmware page. There have been some many problems flashing this phone we do not recommend it. But it is self explanatory, when you run the app just select all the files you want to dump to the phone.

Thanks a lot buddy :-) I tried to flash it and already flashed it with the Imageset and Filesystem with the phone turned on and in working state :-) But when I am triying to flash calset, rsrc1 and rsrc2 the flashing fails and the program says "No response from target phone. But still, the phone is working like new :-) Only for the sound. Do you know how to put it in download mode?? I have tried pressing the 9 key and power key but in vain. Thanks again :-)

The service manual says "Press and hold the power button and at the same time, tap the 9 but once" I have not tried on your model, but that would be the same as the "U" series phones.
