You can try taking out the battery for about 30min, then put it in and try to go into download mode again. If it will go into download mode, try and reflash it but use a different computer. If that does not work, you will have to go to a shop and have it flashed with a clip.

That is when you press the buttons to set the phone up to receive the new firmware. A clip is a box that forces firmware on the phone with out the phones help.

No, that is just the hardreset function. You have to press a combination of keys to put the phone in download mode.

I have tried to get it into the download mode but nothing happens when I press the buttons. I have seen on the internet there is a JTAG method of fixing it???

You would better off going to a service center and have them flash it. That would be the safest thing to do. You dont want to brick the phone trying to fix it.

I have taken it to one small phone shop and they said that the phone was "dead". They told me to go to Samsung. I'm going to try and take it to other shops and see what they say.

Are you sure that the phone can get fixed. I can't do anything on, even when i plug the charger in, nothing shows on the screen. the computer doesn't recognise it.
