Problems after incomplete flashing.
« on: March 13, 2010, 12:22:23 PM »
Hei,
I am facing a problem which occured during flashing of samsung S8000.
Under downloading "security failed" message appeared on the sidescreen of multiloader V 5,54 .
I tried to restart the download several times without any luck, after somtime i disconnected phone from the pc without completing flashing.
Now when i start the phone it only displays "samsung jet" and nothing more happens.Tried volume down+power+camera button but still no response.
Any kind of help deeply appreciated!

That can happen if the phone was locked, any lock will cause it but mainly sim lock. You will have to take it to a shop and have them flash it with a clip.

First i would like to thank you for a quick reponse  and wanted to tell you that i checked lockstatus (*#7465625#) before flashing and all locks were inactive, although i dont think it matters now.
Flash with a clip ? who can perform such a procedure? I am residing in Norway. any suggestions?

Any local repair shop with a Samsung box can do it. It is not expensive, and very quick. I have seen this happen if the multiloader corrupts the file during the download. That must be the case with yours. We have not found the proper Uart file to fix this your self as with the S5230. That only leave the shop for repairs.

make sure you have the lastest drivers ( they come with NPS ),  don't have NPS running at same time either.

have you gone into msconfig and 'disabled all' before using multi loader ?

keep us posted
