hey, i have this problem that when im lyin down and want to msg the key pad flips its really irritating please help me turn off the sensor of my samsung jet s8000 
P.s:ive check all the settings menu in the fone and cant fynd frm where to turn it off :s
It's not the proximity sensor, but the accelerometer, which senses the position of your phone.
Maybe you can't turn the auto rotate function off, or maybe it's FW dependant - if there's such a setting, it should be in Settings -> Display...
