Strange - Browser cookie not enable?
« on: February 21, 2012, 04:47:36 PM »
Hi Frenz,

Today i rolled to POJB1 from MCJJ3 just to see the difference. Actually am bugged by few problems:
1. Have dropped Jet quite a few times. And the last time the signal dropped and still remains so. Is this a pure hardware problem or can a S/W tweak reinstate the signal strength.
2. I have a problem, that I had got quite used to. When ever i login to Gmail. It says "Your Browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on." This is strange because it was never disabled. This problems started with MCJJ3 and remains with POJB1.
I googled and found internet flooded with this problem, without any proper redressal to it. Not even on DFG.

Gurus please enlighten. ;(

As Addy has answered your second question, I'll try to answer your first one.
The antenna is the front cover of your phone, so if it's broken, it could cause problems like that.
I have attached three documents about network and general troubleshooting - maybe they'll be of some help to you.

Thnx Stormchild,

I am pleasantly enlightened as I was not expecting answers. The front cover could be the problem. So it is a hardware problem, will hv to visit samsung.

There is one more issue possibly you could guide. Does the Samsung jet looses it's touch response. I have totally forgotten the actual smooth touch response that Jet came with.

Now the scene is that my Jet absolutely misreads my finger touches, mostly it does not respond to finger touches altogether, it requires nail touch to respond and I have got used to it.

Is there some life to the screen responsiveness. Anyways, what can be the solution to this?

Thanks

You're welcome!  :) You know, we're here to help each other, if we can.

The Jet has resistive touchscreen, which consists of two layers of plastic with a thin metallic layer (matrix or grid) on them. If you press the touchscreen somewhere, the two layers get connected. You should try this method, maybe this'll help: http://darkforestgroup.com/forum/index.php/topic,8999.0.html
