Darkforest ROM 3 - Latest Version: 3.0.5

I forgot to change the version string or the changelog for the installer, so it will say 3.0.2 still, even though you are installing 3.0.5
If you have a locked bootloader, do not select the format /system option

Changelog - 3.0.5
 - Added:
  - busybox, nano, sysrw and sysro scripts, bootanimation loaded from /data/local, deodexed and zipaligned.

So, 3.0.5 should be smoother than 3.0.2

Features of this ROM:
Added feature to use bootanimation at /data/local if one is present - not sure this works yet
Added busybox at /system/xbin/
Added sysro and sysrw scripts
Added nano
Deodexed and Zipaligned apk's to reduce filesize
Uses the AROMA Installer (love it myself )
GSM - Installer - Ability to use a custom theme
GSM - Installer - Ability to use a custom launcher
CDMA - Uses latest working UK base (.145)
GSM - Latest .62 firmware from Sony Ericsson
Options in the Installer:
 - Enable GPU Rendering - Enables the GPU to render the UI, more smooth as GPU is rendering it not the CPU
 - Set JIT as default - this is here just to make sure that JIT is set as default, it is in GB but I am not sure it is enabled by default
 - Bravia Engine - Installs the famous Mobile Bravia Engine
 - Lock Home in Memory - Locks the home in memory
 - Increase Picture Quality - sets properties that are known to increase picture quality
 - Improve Scrolling - a few tweaks to improve the responsiveness of scrolling.
 - Use a custom theme - use one of thomassafca's themes, I have implemented AOSP theme for GSM only atm, I will be making a .145 theme soon when I get round to it
 - Darkforest OTA - this is the place where you will download your rom, install it if you want it to be installed to /system, if not, install it manually
 - Home Screen - use a custom home screen - GSM only at the moment, I will make some custom homescreens for CDMA soon
 - Format /system - formats the /system partition during install - I recommend this each install
 - Format /data - formats the /data partition during install - I recommend you do this when coming from another ROM or when experiencing bootloops.
I don't have a CDMA device, so any bugs with this are hard for me to fix, I will need detailed reports on this

If wanting to install a custom theme, ignore the second option in the installer "AOSP with Notification Toggles", the first one has notification toggles in it, this option hasn't been assigned to do anything (meaning, you would get the stock theme)
Also, if you are CDMA, please untick the options that say GSM ONLY I promise when I have the time I will try and sort out some customizability for the CDMA users

I can't seem to get my wifi working on my CDMA R800x. Also, it CONSTANTLY force closes the process android.process.media and it's getting to the point where it's nearly impossible to do anything.

Did you wipe data?
Also, you might need to reflash WiFi modules if you aren't using a stock kernel

Sixth time I try to flash one of your ROMs, and it always ends with me losing my time and reinstalling the .42 firmware with Flashtool. The first five times I couldn't get past the "Sony Ericsson" logo. This time I kept /system and tried your version 3.0.5, and all I got were infinite force closes. Really?

Ah, you might need to wipe the /data partition, because you get force closes if you do not, make sure you back up your apps first

My R800i has a locked bootloader and ClockworkMod Recovery.

Ah right, there is a problem with the recovery for locked bootloader, it bricks if you flash anything. If you bootloader unlock and install DooMKernel then you will be able to install successfully.

i'm searching for a good rom long time for my xperia play... But all roms have many bugs.

Does the gamepad and camera work fine on this rom?
Also vibration should work...

Is there a "not working"-list or bug list?

I have a locked bootloader, so custom kernals/wi-fi modules are not even an option for me. I wiped /data when I used clockwork recovery to flash your rom, and everything seemed to look like it was going fine, but the wi-fi just kept saying "error", and again, constant force closes of the media process, which I'm not even sure what it is caused by. I ended up using flashboot to flash a stock 2.3.3 back onto my phone. Could it be the fact that I'm using a US version of 2.3.3 or something?
