Mini Hands On Review
There are a lot of reviews on the web about this phone, but most are long and boring! This is a mini review to sum up my experience with this phone over the past 5 days hands on.
After playing with this phone for several days, I have picked out some of my favorite things, and not so favorite things about this handset. I am also posting some pictures and videos taken with this phone so you can see the good and bad. We have looked at so many new handset over the past few months and pick this one as the best in class. Remember, dual core handsets are still new and the technology is changing fast. There are more handsets due out this year that are spec similar to this one.
Pros:
Android 2.3.3
1.2gig dual core processor by Qualcomm “Snapdragon” (Fast, Fast, Fast!)
4.3″ multi touch 540 x 960 HD display
Gorilla Glass Display (Very scratch resistant)
1080p video recorder
8 meg pix camera
Video calling with Fring and qik (Skype video requires 2.3.4)
Sens 3.0 is very clean and fluent
Cons:
Viewing angle of the display is lacking but not too noticeable
Battery life could be better (using a task managers can make this worse in some cases)
No skype video yet (Only if they release a 2.3.4 update)
Built in Gallery up loader uploads corrupt photos to picasa on occasion (this has been a problem on a lot of HTC handset, Use an app like “Picasa Tool instead)
Front camera is 640 x 480
No stereo speakers on handset
No high output audio for headphones
Camera Testing:
Video Quality test:
This was recorded is 1080p HD in multiple lighting.
